Tomadia is the creative partnership of Matilda Kjell and Toby Jacobs, a Brooklyn-based duo with roots in Sweden and Chicago. Partners in life and work, they bring together photography, design, and film into a shared practice with a distinct perspective.

Matilda began her photographic studies in Santa Barbara, California, and continued in Milan, Italy, graduating as a Valedictorian, all while honing her craft as a fashion photographer, retoucher, and visual artist.
Continuing on her passion, Matilda has spent the past eight years working as an independent photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Matilda has worked all over Scandinavia and Europe for clients such as Spendrups, MENU, Ia Bon, CoDesign Architect, Beijing 8, Fotografiska, Toni & Guy, FLB, and more.
Matilda has a strong passion for design, fashion, and art, and her distinct photographic style is apparent across many different areas of her photography, art, and design work.

Toby is a producer & artist working and living in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to 2018, Toby lived and worked in Los Angeles, producing commercial campaigns for Samsung, Sotheby’s, Honda, Amazon Fashion, Melia Resorts, Ford Theaters, and more.
